Is it too soon for Windows 8?
Not at all. The open question is whether that was the t.o.d. call for Windows in general

- a timeline
- what went wrong
- what went right
- follow on steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again (that might be fun…)

Consider doing a enterprise software inventory, call up each vendor and ask if their current app is Windows 8 ready or if you need to upgrade. Then don’t just take their word for it, fire up a test machine and install the apps and have users test functionality. Hope this helps
